FORTUNE GLOBAL FORUM

Conference Producer for the FORTUNE Global Forum organized by FORTUNE for CEO's of leading Global corporations. The three-day forum travels to a different country each year, and involves 250 CEO's and their spouses from all over the world. The government of each country is the Host Sponsor, and consequently necessitates much protocol and coordination from the Conference Producer. Research and recommend sites for the conference and unique sites for the Gala Dinners.

Speakers have included President Jiang Zemin of China, President Jacques Chirac of France, President Bill Clinton of the United States, Prime Minister Orban of Hungary, Vice President Ratto of Spain, Benazir Bhutto of Pakistan, Gov. Christopher Patten of Hong Kong, Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore, and several other heads of State both sitting and former.

Live in each country for several weeks up to two months prior to the Forum; plan and manage all logistical and operational details – Gala Dinners, Spouse Cultural Program, security, transportation, meals, AV, hotel liaison, simultaneous translation, hire and oversee local staff, negotiate and manage contracts to stay within budget. Manage staff of 7-10; budget of $750,000-$1.5 million. Assist with the IT and Press portion of the Forum. Both are extensive. Coordinate and negotiate very closely with each government, coordinate and manage information distribution between each site and FORTUNE senior management and staff in New York.

During the Forum, Ambassadors to that country from 30 different nations attend one of the Gala Dinners as guests of honor. Work closely with each of their offices coordinating the invitations and responses, the protocol, and then the seating arrangements at the dinner. Conduct a debriefing meeting with the FORTUNE staff following the Global Forum; complete follow-up work after the event.
